About Ariston

Aristide Merloni founded the Merloni Group in the Marche region (Italy), starting with the production of weight scales.

1960

Ariston was launched as the main Merloni Group brand of kitchens, boilers, laundry and dishwashing machines, proposing innovative and trendy home appliances.

1968

Ariston launched the "Unibloc" kitchen that was later awarded with Golden Compass award in 1979.

1980

Ariston started a sponsorship with the Italian football team Juventus F.C.

1991

Ariston launched the first three-doors fridge-freezer, called "Supermarket Transformer".

1995

Ariston launched the washing machine Margherita Dialogic, the first completely digital appliance, featuring 3 physical sensors and 16 virtual sensors.

1997

Ariston expanded its home appliances business overseas, bringing Italian heritage and design into Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

2009

Ariston launched the iconic washing machine called "Aqualtis", with highly distincitive design and innovative washing technologies.

2014

Whirlpool Corporation completes the acquisition of Indesit Company

2020

Ariston celebrates its 90th anniversary.
